01 – First option
Air fryer
Fry on 200 C for 4 minutes.
5 mins for extra crispy result.
You might need to turn the slice half way through if it’s really thick.
02 – Second option
Grill/Sandwich oven
Put the slices on a wired rack in the middle of the oven and turn up the heat to 200 C for 10-20mins depending on how defrosted the bread has become already.
03 – Third option
Never use microwave
If you don’t have an air fryer or an oven with a grill you can fry the slice in any frying pan. Start with low heat so you don’t burn the slice on the surface.
04 – Suggestions
Something for all
Use salted butter or just dip it in some extra virgin olive oil like the Romans did.
All kind of cheese goes well with sourdough as well as meats.
